I hope you are up for another QUILT SHOW because that’s what I’ve got for you this morning!! This time it’s the Clubhouse Quilters putting on their own show right here in our very own little RV Resort! ‘The Sands’ called it a Quilt and Craft Show so we shared the space with beaders, painters, photographers and kelp (as in seaweed) artists. We even had musicians to serenade us!
So let’s get the SHOW on the road…
As you entered the North Hall a beader had placed some garden art just outside the door for us to enjoy! How clever is this?! She straightened coat hangers and stuck them into a narrow pipe which was poked into the ground. Then using florist wire she twisted beads on each piece of wire…forming this whimsical bead art! If a breeze should happen to hit, the bead branches bob and sway! Now I know what to do with all those ‘UGLY’ beads! Very clever! (AND no watering required!)
OK…Let’s work our way around the hall…
We have Kim’s Corner right by the door…just LOOK at this quilter’s quilts!! I swear…Kim bangs off one quilt a week!
Sweet wee small fall twister…
You might remember these from last year…and the blue runner from this year. Very sweet!
Doris made these soft and cozy rag quilts….
Oh…I can see these being well loved by their recipients!
Gwen made this gorgeous baby quilt for her FIRST grandbaby… expected in a few months! To say she is over the moon about this baby is putting it mildly!! And beside it, is her her Pineapple Delight.. done in wool and flannels…beautiful!
Below Gwen’s beauties are Norma’s creations…
Norma has taken her love of coffee to a whole new level!! This is going to look wonderful on her kitchen table at home…
And of course her wonderful rag quilt is beside it!! Love this quilt!!
Then across the room…we have half of Kim’s orange and turquoise string/spool quilt, Sandy’s Christmas creations…and half of my Homespun Houses! Sandy made this festive runner and matching wall hanging at home and is finishing them off down here…very sweet!
Here are my Homespun Houses, Wee Baskets, Snowman runner and Bowtie…my baby quilt got cut off!
Below is Sandy’s bead table…Doesn’t she do gorgeous work!!
Doris’ quilts were out of this world!! Her kaleidoscope is wonderful as is the quilt beside it! Doris bought the fabric for these quilts during our Spring Fling Shop Hop last year!
This is the quilt that she made for her grand daughter. Love the block on this one!
Here is Siena’s stunning Disappearing Nine Patch from last year…beautifully machine quilted with her new long arm!!
Followed by her Lil’Twister made with left over fabric from the quilts that follow!! BONUS!!
Her magnificent Bargello…WOW…WOW…WOW!!
And then these HUGE king size beauties!! This picture does not do them justice!
Across the aisle we have painters…
There was even a painter show us how it’s done…!!
But not to be outdone by the painters, we quilters have our very own Kim to show and tell all about Free Motion Quilting!!
Some very talented artisans stay at the Sands!!
Beading to a whole other level! This couple are ‘full timers’ and sell their jewellery at each stop! Beautiful work!
That takes care of HALF the show…tomorrow you get the other half!!
Whew! That was hard work…it was like putting the show on all over again!!
Let’s let our very own Anne and her husband, Ken, serenade us out the door!
Too bad this wasn’t a video! You will have to take my word for it…they sounded WONDERFUL!! Yup…a lot of talent here in our wee park!
Have a terrific Tuesday and Happy Quilting!~P
