Remember how I said that Sandy and I had our last ‘Thelma and Louise Day’ on Friday…well I guess I must have lied because Thelma kidnapped Louise early Saturday morning for one last morning of GARAGE SALES!!
Nothing like a Flea Market/Garage Sale out in the desert in amongst the palm trees…and just look at that blue sky!
I know…it looks like A LOT of junk but that’s where the fun comes in!! It’s like gardening…you have to weed out the bad to get to the good!
Check out my loots…a pretty hand made basket made out of paper, an old crock pot ($2) and an enamel coffee pot which I didn’t NEED but it was only 50cents so it followed me home!
I LOVE these two wire shelves…I know it’s a terrible picture…they were 50 cents each!! SCORE! Also bought this fabric for pillows.
A bag full of vintage buttons for $2…
This find had me dancing down the street. It’s an old brass hat rack from an ancient train. Back in the olden days the men would slip their hats into these rack. Well I’m going to slip three quilts onto this rack! ($15!!)
And another piece of old crockery…this time a pitcher! $8…Score!! (Can’t you see some pretty spring flowers in this jug??)
Thelma had me back at our RV before hubby even realized that I was missing!! :o)
These treasures are all packed away in our rig as we cruise down the freeway!
Last night we stayed in a place called Patterson, just south of Sacramento, CA! Tonight…I’m not sure?! But I better get my jobs done or I may get left behind! haha Pitter Pattern let’s get at ‘er!
Have a magical Monday and Happy Stitching!~P
Great scores, and I love the blue and white jug. Safe travels today, hope the weather is lovely for your ride north.
ReplyDeleteGreat way to spend the morning before you left, won't be any yard sales as you head north, lol. Love the hat rack, fun to find things you can use for quilts.
