A Little of ‘This and That’!

This month’s February Aurifil Designer is Sherri Falls of “This and That” pattern company.  If you hustle over to Aurofil Buzz you will learn all about Sherri and her designs…and if you are good and not too rowdy…you might be able to download this lovely block for FREE!   Such a sweet little stitchery!image

Isn’t it wonderful when designers are generous with their talents!!  Thanks SEW much, Sherri!!  LOVE IT!

As for me…I am still plugging away on the Wee Baskets…I have finished the baskets and am now chain piecing the sashing…

I really love these sweet little 3 1/2” blocks and can’t wait to see what the quilt will look like when it finally gets together!

In the evening I am stitching away on the ‘secret’ project for Sew Cal Gal’s ‘GO! Ahead and Show a Little Love’ Blog Hop which begins THIS MONTH!!  I better stitch a little faster!!

SNAKE SPOTTING!!!!!  While driving the truck home from one of our little excursions, I spotted a SNAKE slithering across the road!!  I’m sure he was waiting there for ME… “Yup, here she comes, hurry onto the road and scare the **** out of her!!”  NOW I have been told that ALL snakes are hibernating UNTIL the day we leave!!  What’s with this one??  Does this END my hiking days??  Or do I SUIT UP before I go out??  Sheesh…it just takes ONE to spoil all your fun!

Have a wicked Wednesday and Happy Quilting!~P

  5. A snake? I'd be out of there is no time. When we lived in Port Alberni, our cat used to bring them over the fence, in her mouth, like a string of spaghetti. Then she would let them go on the patio and they would slither around the potted plants. I never knew what I was going to find when I went out to do a little gardening. Thanks for the look at your Wee Baskets, this is going to be a very sweet quilt.

  6. I love reading you blog and this is not to scare you, but for you to be aware and more careful. I've been told that snakes in Southern California don't hibernate, our winters are to mild. Snakes don't move around much when the temperatures are low, but they like to come out when we have a nice warm sunny day.
I hope this doesn't stop you from staying in Southern California in the winter time. Angie
