Every Spring the Heritage Quilting Guild Members share a day with the south end Gulf Island quilters…mainly quilters from Pender Island, Mayne Island and Saturna Island. We take turns hosting the event and this year it was the Mayne Island Quilters turn…IT means a three hour trek (drive and ferry) but so worth the effort! These ladies KNOW how to put together a good time! Such fun! It was a long day filled with lots of laughs and goodwill and of course good food and wonderful quilts!
We have Show and Tell, get inspiration from a guest speaker, break some bread…(such a wonderful lunch!), award door prizes and give aways (EVERYONE went home with a prize!) More importantly it’s a get together of like minded gals…all with one thing on their minds…quilting and having fun!
Let me show you a small sampling of the quilts…you be the judge!
There were tons more quilts…but you get the idea!! AMAZING quilters~ all of them!!
I thought you might like to see what I WON (;o)…a sweet bundle of Rabbit Haven fabrics…perfect for a baby girl quilt! SCORE!
And of course the views weren’t half bad either!!
A HUGE thank you to the Mayne Island Guild for making our day PICTURE PERFECT!! Oh man…we live in paradise!
Have a wicked Wednesday and Happy Stitching!~P
