The one I made for my sister's 75th is neatly folded and in the closet for ? I just dug out a UFO blue/cream log cabin blocks that I started for my son. I have joined 16 blocks making the design cream in the centre, blue on the outside and am going to applique a poinsettia on the cream centre and use as a table topper for myself for xmas. I will definitely enjoy it.VickyBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15017016446757873339noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4609547635426839529.post-61757708153513553022010-10-26T01:04:04.838-07:002010-10-26T01:04:04.838-07:00I have told my children if he wants any quilts or ...I have told my children if he wants any quilts or knitting for their family they will have to ask as i don't think it appreciated either
I guess it the modern world everything bought at a expense
You can always adopt me & do it for me lol
Hugs JaniceSearchfamilieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10704548210584939014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4609547635426839529.post-28935802032234364912010-10-26T00:44:34.518-07:002010-10-26T00:44:34.518-07:00Well if your daughters don't want anything, th...Well if your daughters don't want anything, there's always your friends - actually I'm thinking of one friend, who lives over in the UK!!QuiltSuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18121195815836334067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4609547635426839529.post-16342814121207124702010-10-25T20:53:00.186-07:002010-10-25T20:53:00.186-07:00Ditto!Ditto!Kathy MacKiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17036167100686615797noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4609547635426839529.post-37243827048786168822010-10-25T20:06:19.552-07:002010-10-25T20:06:19.552-07:00I'm lucky, I guess . . . all 4 of my sisters a...I'm lucky, I guess . . . all 4 of my sisters are quilters as well -- actually more so than me (well, they have more time for quilting than I do!) We have a new pattern for a 10-minute runner, so everybody (even my neices who don't sew) is making one, and we're having an anonymous exchange. It became expensive in time and $$$. They didn't seem to really enjoy them once they entered their teen years, so I stopped. One year, I didn't have anything hand created for anyone's gift and I missed the joy of giving something that I had made. Now, I try to make at least one project a year. I choose a friend or family member who will cherish the gift. Last year, I made pillow cases for quilting friends. It's something they hadn't taken time to do for themselves. This Christmas, I'm hoping to have a quilt for a special sister-in-law.
