To answer Nancie, I address the stay stitching in my tutorial on Preparing Your Quilt for Longarm Quilting, and I have added that reference in the post. I'll be posting again on fixing some other types of problems later in the month. I know ...Thanks for sharing the link to that post. I know I've given my quilter a few challenge projects over the years, but I still want her to love me and I still want a quality finish. In the absence of a glaring error made my her, I am responsible for the outcome. I do my best to deal with my perfectionism expectation before the quilt and backing leave my hands. One thing that jumped out at me was that the author never mentioned stay stitching close to the border edge of the top to insure that edge seams stay intact and prevent raveling...there is quite tension placed on the top when those clamps go on and that's not a good time for your border seams to start popping open.
When all else fails, and I know there are issues that may be a challenge even though I've worked up a good sweat trying to beat them into submission...I include a little gift in the box...Fat Quarters, etc...but never anything that will melt and make a mess!
Nancie Anne Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05789749518366473425noreply@blogger.com
