You Meet the Nicest People!

Sandi from Shakopee, MN dropped by after reading my post yesterday about the Heart to Hand patterns! She also sent me a picture of this gorgeous mat..the end product of a rug punch class which she taught at Eagle Creek Quilt Shop.  She took the  Merry Christmas Pattern (from Heart to Hand) and used wool rug yarn and presto…this lovely rug!

I bet the quilters from Eagle Creek Quilt Shop were THRILLED with this project..which measured out at 24” X 42”!

Thanks so much for sharing, Sandi!!  Pop in again for coffee…and bring your album!

So if you’re a rug puncher..you might want to have another look at those patterns…see yesterday’s post!

Only Five MORE DAYS!!  I’m ready…and waiting…for the kids to get here!  This morning two of them have left Calgary and are heading West…my fingers and toes are crossed…for no snow on the mountain passes…!!  It’s a Mother’s job to worry…and I take it seriously!!

Have a magical Monday and Happy Quilting!!~P

  3. Love the rug. Have never tried rug punch, but after seeing this mat, I might have to try one. I too am awaiting children. One from Lasqueti Island and two from Vancouver. All with grandchildren. Yipee!

  4. What a beautiful piece. I use quilt patterns for hooking and punching, they work well with a primitive look.

  5. I'm waiting for two kids, a s-i-l and two grandchildren, driving from Whitehorse to Prince George. I'm trying to pray instead of worry.
